As you probably know, I left academia about six years ago to build the ideal intellectual life exclusively on the internet.

In 2026, as I prepare to ship my book The Independent Scholar, my system is finally complete. I've learned everything there is to learn about what the intellectual life looks like throughout history, and what it will look like in the coming decades.

I've already helped hundreds of people focus their own work and find the time to execute their own writing projects, at all different levels of experience and sophistication.

And now, with the increasing acceleration of AI, the stakes are extremely high and the matter is urgent.

If you do not get your most important ideas on track right now, you probably will never. The temptations and distractions and the general dissolution of our culture are only getting worse.
